The first five years of your child's life are important, informative years and it is our aim to provide a caring, stimulating, loving, family atmosphere.

The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum to ensure that every child is happy, healthy, safe and successful. This is a stage of development that your child will be at during their time at nursery. The framework is to help the practitioners support every child's development and learning. This is done through planning for every child's individual needs, stages and interests which is gathered from observations and assessments.

The Baby Room & Toddler Room

The Baby / toddlers have their own playroom with a seperate dining room and sleeping room.

As this is such a young age, we aim to create a secure, warm, stimulating, happy and homely atmosphere. Our staff to baby ratio is 1:3 which enables our staff to give your baby expert love and care and plenty of attention.

At this young age we aim to create a warm, stimulating, happy and homely atmosphere. There is a wide variety of toys for your baby to play with and they can enjoy lots of 'sensory' play.

As they develop and gain confidence they will encounter such activities as sand, water, painting and music, all of which are a key elements in their early years development.

We do ask that parents provide nappies and any specific creams that your baby uses and a change of clothes and formula milk as required.

Becoming a Toddler

When your child is confident walker and with consultaion with you your child will continue to be in the baby and toddler room but will be supported and encouraged to try new experiences and have opportunities to continue developing their ever increasing skills and the variety of activities will reflect this such as 'making marks' and using tools and techniques with the paint.

As their concentration, interest and imaginations develop, singing and story time, music and role play will form an important part of their day.

Toilet training is also something that takes place during their 2nd year and this can be discussed with your childs keyperson as appropriate. The routine for the children is flexible and will include outside activities.

Pre-School Room

During your childs 3rd year they will move into the Pre-School Room. Your child will also become eligible for nursery grant funding which provides a monetary contribution towards your childs fee's.

There will be plenty of opportunity here for creative play, singing and music and movement.

As your child progresses they will begin to learn colour and shapes as well as concepts of size, weight and volume through play based activities that reflect and respond to their stages of development and interests.

The Early Years Foundation Stage is followed for individual learning and development plans for all children.

Throughout this period there will also be the opportunity to start to familiarise your child with the use of computers.

Outdoor Facilities

The nursery has outside areas where your child will be encouraged to develop physically and explore the outdoor environment. We have two separate areas for the two rooms which are used in a flexible mannor to support their Learning & Development. There are also seperate soft surface areas creating a completely safe environment for your child.
